Former DOJ Attorneys Run for Office After Departing Justice Department

Multiple former Justice Department attorneys are pursuing elected offices following their departures from the agency in 2025. Among them is Ryan Crosswell, who resigned in February and is now running for a U.S. House seat in Pennsylvania's competitive 7th District. Crosswell, who previously worked as a federal prosecutor, has raised approximately $300,000 since announcing his candidacy in June, while the Republican incumbent has raised $1.4 million this year.
