Space transportation firm sees growing demand from US Space Force

Impulse Space has secured $300 million in Series C funding led by Linse Capital to expand production and develop new technologies. The funding, described as a "preemptive raise," follows a $150 million Series B round less than a year ago and will support scaling up production of the company's Mira and Helios space vehicles. Impulse Space currently has over 30 signed contracts worth nearly $200 million for these vehicles.

The company reports increasing demand for its smaller Mira vehicle specifically for defense applications. This includes a partnership with Anduril announced last October to provide software for highly maneuverable space missions. According to company president Eric Romo, the Space Force's more vocal public stance on space defense and control in recent months correlates with growing demand for Impulse's capabilities in this sector.
