MDA Reveals $151 Billion SHIELD Contract for Missile Defense System

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA) has unveiled details about a new $151 billion contracting vehicle called Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD). Presented during an industry gathering in Huntsville, Alabama, the 10-year program will allow Department of Defense entities to rapidly issue orders under a flexible arrangement.
