A U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fatally shot a suspect during an arrest attempt in Franklin Park, a suburb approximately 18 miles west of Chicago. According to Department of Homeland Security officials, the officer opened fire after the suspect allegedly drove his vehicle toward officers and dragged one of them. Both the officer and the suspect, identified as Silverio Villegas-Gonzalez, were transported to a local hospital where Villegas-Gonzalez was pronounced dead.
