Jamaican Police Officer Agrees to Leave US After ICE Arrest

A reserve police officer in Old Orchard Beach, Maine has agreed to voluntarily depart the United States following his arrest by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on July 25, 2025. Jon Luke Evans, a Jamaican national, was detained as part of increased immigration enforcement operations. According to ICE officials, Evans had overstayed his visa and allegedly attempted to unlawfully purchase a firearm.
