Trump administration seeks to rebuild immigration enforcement capacity
1.
The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has initiated a recruitment campaign offering substantial financial incentives to former agents willing to return to service. Under the program dubbed 'Operation Return to Mission,' eligible former officers could receive up to $50,000 in bonuses, including a $10,000 signing bonus, an additional $10,000 for applications submitted by August 1, and annual $10,000 bonuses for up to three years of service. The agency is also offering dual compensation waivers that would allow retirees to maintain their pension benefits while returning to work.
