Federal authorities have removed a security fence surrounding an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detention facility in Broadview following a court order. The barrier, erected three weeks ago by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), was taken down Tuesday night before a federally mandated deadline of 11:59 p.m. The removal came after U.S. District Judge LaShonda Hunt ruled in favor of Broadview officials who had filed a lawsuit against DHS.
