The Department of Justice has removed prosecutor Maggie Cleary from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Virginia, according to a source who spoke with CBS News. Cleary briefly led the office last month after former acting U.S. Attorney Erik Siebert resigned. She was subsequently replaced by Lindsey Halligan, a former White House aide and personal lawyer to President Trump, who was sworn in as interim U.S. Attorney.
