Patricia Balbuena Soto, a New Jersey resident who lived in the United States for approximately 30 years, was deported to Mexico in August 2025 following her arrest by immigration authorities. According to the Department of Homeland Security, Balbuena Soto had been previously removed from the U.S. four times and had reentered illegally a fifth time. DHS also stated that she faced several criminal charges including criminal mischief, home invasion burglary, and weapons possession charges.
