Border Official Summoned to Court Over Tear Gas Use in Chicago

A federal judge has ordered Gregory Bovino, a senior U.S. Border Patrol operations commander, to appear in court following allegations that he violated a court order restricting the use of tear gas against protesters in Chicago. Judge Sara Ellis summoned Bovino after reviewing video evidence that allegedly shows him deploying tear gas during immigration enforcement operations last Thursday.
