SC Ethics Committee Would Have Expelled Rep. May Before Resignation

The South Carolina State House Ethics Committee announced Tuesday that they would have unanimously voted to expel former Representative RJ May had he not already resigned from office. Following a three-hour executive session, the committee publicly disclosed for the first time that May was the subject of their investigation that began in June. The committee's statement comes after May pleaded guilty to five counts of distributing child sex abuse material in October.
