A shipment of lobster meat valued at $400,000 disappeared while being transported from a Taunton, Massachusetts cold storage facility to Midwest Costco locations, according to Rexing Companies, the freight broker handling the shipment. The FBI is actively investigating the December 12 incident, which appears to follow a pattern of organized cargo thefts targeting high-value freight. Company CEO Dylan Rexing indicated this was the second theft from the same warehouse in December, following an earlier crab shipment theft.
