South Korea's military reported Saturday that North Korea has begun removing loudspeakers from their shared border, following South Korea's recent dismantling of its own propaganda broadcast equipment. This reciprocal action comes after South Korean President Lee Jae Myung halted anti-North Korean broadcasts in June as part of his administration's efforts to reduce tensions between the two nations. The border speakers had been broadcasting irritating sounds including animal noises and gong sounds in response to South Korean propaganda.
