Representative LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) entered a not guilty plea during her arraignment at the U.S. District Court of New Jersey in Newark on Wednesday. The congresswoman faces three federal charges related to an incident at the Delaney Hall Federal Immigration Facility on May 9. Two of the charges carry maximum penalties of eight years imprisonment each, while the third charge has a maximum penalty of one year.
