22 States Sue Federal Government Over Medicaid Cuts to Health Providers

Twenty-two predominantly Democratic-led states have filed a lawsuit against the federal government challenging a provision in recently passed legislation that cuts Medicaid reimbursements to certain healthcare providers. The provision, signed into law by President Trump as part of a broader package of tax breaks and spending cuts, specifically impacts providers that received more than $800,000 from Medicaid in 2023, including Planned Parenthood facilities across the country.
