A bipartisan delegation of House lawmakers is scheduled to make an official visit to China later this month, marking the first such trip by House members since 2019. The congressional delegation is being organized by Representative Adam Smith of Washington state, the ranking Democrat on the House Armed Services Committee. Both Democratic and Republican members of the committee will participate, though Committee Chairman Mike Rogers (R-Alabama) will not join the delegation.
