The Senate voted 47-53 against a resolution that would have restricted President Trump's ability to take further military action against Iran. The measure, introduced by Democratic Senator Tim Kaine of Virginia, failed with Republican Senator Rand Paul joining most Democrats in support, while Democratic Senator John Fetterman voted with the Republican majority against it. The resolution was introduced days before the United States conducted strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
