Google Fights DOJ's Forced Ad Exchange Sale in Virginia Court

Google is currently in Virginia federal court arguing against the U.S. Justice Department's proposal to force the company to sell its advertising exchange business. The case follows Judge Leonie Brinkema's April ruling that Google maintained an illegal monopoly in the advertising exchange and publisher-side technology markets. The Justice Department has proposed remedies including divesting AdX, Google's ad exchange platform that reportedly controls about 56% of the display advertising market.
