Beijing to suspend semiconductor investigations and ease rare earth export controls
1.
China has agreed to halt investigations targeting U.S. companies in the semiconductor supply chain following a meeting between President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on October 30 in South Korea. According to a White House fact sheet released on November 1, Beijing will terminate various investigations, including antitrust, anti-monopoly, and anti-dumping probes that had affected U.S. technology firms. The agreement comes after months of escalating trade tensions between the world's two largest economies.
