New York authorities charge man with making terroristic threats

Christopher P. Moynihan, 34, has been arrested in Clinton, New York on charges related to alleged death threats against House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. According to law enforcement documents, Moynihan sent text messages expressing intent to harm the Democratic congressman during an upcoming speech in New York City. New York State Police have charged him with one felony count of making a terroristic threat, with his first court appearance scheduled in Dutchess County State Supreme Court.
