Supreme Court Overturns Glossip Conviction After 30 Years on Death Row

Richard Glossip, who spent nearly three decades on death row, may be released from an Oklahoma prison following a bond hearing scheduled for today. The 62-year-old former motel manager was convicted in 1997 of commissioning the murder of his boss Barry Van Treese but has consistently maintained his innocence. His case reached a turning point when the U.S. Supreme Court overturned his conviction in February 2025.
