The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) have submitted a drug pricing pilot program to the White House for official review. The initiative, named the Global Benchmark for Efficient Drug Pricing (GLOBE) Model, was sent on Thursday according to information posted on a government website. The proposal now requires clearance from the White House's Office of Management and Budget before implementation can proceed.
